BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man was arrested after robbing two strangers at gunpoint.

Court documents state that the victims had left an apartment on Home Road the evening of November 9th when they were approached by two men in a parking lot.

One of the men pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victims, and threatened to shoot them if they did not hand over their belongings.

The thieves made off with a phone, wallet, both of the victims’ shoes, and an Xbox.

Another person at the apartment was able to track the phone to an apartment on Texas Street, where the gun-wielding suspect was arrested.

21-year-old Alexander Gutierrez faces robbery and felony harassment charges.
