Body of missing Skagit River kayaker recovered

CONCRETE, WA. – (KGMI.com) The body of a missing Skagit River kayaker has been found.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports the body was recovered on Wednesday, November 1st, on the bank of a river near Hamilton by a person working in the area.

It was identified by the County Coroner’s Office as 29-year-old Jebadieh Voyce.

Voyce went missing on October 11th after he fell out of a kayak on the Skagit River near Cape Horn Community Park west of Concrete.

A search by the Sheriff’s Office that included three boats and a drone followed, but only the kayak and paddle were found until Wednesday.

The cause and manner of his death are still under investigation.
