DUI crash claims life of pedestrian from Bellingham

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A DUI crash claimed the life of a Bellingham man late last night, Tuesday, May 3rd.

WSP said in a press release that the man was walking on East Axton Road around 11 p.m.

He was struck by a car near Silverado Drive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 24-year-old Kaycee Antila, was arrested for driving under the influence.

She remains behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail.

WSP has not released the identity of the deceased man.
