LYNDEN, WA. – (KGMI.com) A man living in Lynden has been arrested after being accused of molesting children that were known to him.

Court documents state that one of the victims reported the assaults to a school counselor in February of 2022.

The victim told investigators that the suspect inappropriately touched her on several occasions between 2016 and 2020.

She added that the assaults occurred at homes in Lynden and Burlington.

Another victim also confirmed that the suspect had repeated inappropriate contact with her at the same residence in Lynden.

Burlington Police attempted several times to contact the suspect, 24-year-old Marciano Sanchez-Lopez.

He was taken into custody on Monday, November 20th, and remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
