Sheriff’s Office searching for kayaker missing on Skagit River

CONCRETE, WA. (KGMI.com) – A search is ongoing after a kayaker went missing on the Skagit River on Wednesday afternoon, October 11th.

GoSkagit reports the 29-year-old went missing after falling out of a kayak near Cape Horn Community Park west of Concrete around 2:45 p.m.

A Skagit County Sheriff’s Office boat and drone, along with two Search and Rescue boats were deployed to search the river, where only the kayak and paddle were found.

Anyone with information helpful to the search is asked to call the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
