SEATTLE, Wash. – Starbucks is denying claims that workers at some of its stores have been banned from displaying decorations supporting Pride month.

The union that has been working to organize the coffee chain’s workers says workers in stores in at least 21 states have been banned from showing support for the LGBTQ community.

Among its claims were that some Starbucks workers were kept from posting decorations after Target received backlash over displays of Pride-based merchandise.

But Starbucks tells Bloomberg News that is not true.

They say workers can post decorations as long as they meet safety guidelines.

The company says it is unaware of any of its corporate-run stores banning the decorations or shows of support.
