OAK HARBOR, Wash. – A false threat forced a lockdown at two Oak Harbor schools on Wednesday, February 15th.

Oak Harbor Police responded to a report of an incident at Oak Harbor High School around 10 a.m.

Officers put the high school and nearby Hillcrest Elementary School on lockdowns as a precaution.

They determined the report was a suspected hoax, or”swatting,” and lifted the lockdowns just before noon.
