Washington state accepting applications for low-income tax credit

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Revenue is now accepting applications for a tax credit for low-income families.

The Working Family Tax Credit provides payments of up to $1,200 for eligible families and individuals.

The credit is available to workers and families that qualify for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit and is paid in addition to that benefit.

The application period for the 2022 tax year began on February 1st and will be open until the end to 2023.
