Winter shelter open at Civic Field through February

BELLINGHAM, WA – Bellingham’s winter shelter at Civic Field is now open for public use.

The city is partnering with Whatcom County Health and Community Services and local homeless support organization Road2Home to open the shelter through February.

It operates every night of the week from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. and is located in the locker rooms under the scoreboard at Civic.

The shelter can hold up to 45 beds, though more may be available for severe weather nights.

Snacks and showers are also available.

People will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
