SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – More roads have reopened in Skagit County following historic floods earlier this month.

County government officials say that all roads in and out of Fir Island are back open.

Drivers are still being asked to use caution along some of the harder-hit roadways, especially in dike reinforcement areas.

Flood victims looking to drop off debris have a few free options after New Year’s Day.

Skagit County Recycling and Transfer Station in Mount Vernon will continue accepting flood debris through January 16.

Smaller disposal loads are also being taken at the Sauk Transfer Station in Concrete through the 16th. And certain flood debris will be accepted at Lautenbach Recycling in Mount Vernon until further notice.
