BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An acclaimed pizza and wine hotspot in downtown Bellingham has suddenly closed its doors.

Starla’s announced over the weekend that Saturday was its last day in Bellingham.

The owners say they’re moving back to Seattle and taking the business with them.

The restaurant made its debut in the Herald Building in fall 2024.

It went on to earn high praise, with co-owner and chef Jordan Koplowitz named as a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef in the Pacific Northwest earlier this year.

Starla’s new location in Seattle is expected to open later this year or in early 2027.
