BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – How do you think Bellingham can improve its housing market?

The city is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, April 16 to discuss housing affordability and how to address any challenges moving forward.

The event is part of a series of meetings for the Bellingham Plan, a two-year project that will update the city’s guide towards growth over the next 20 years.

The city said housing affordability was the top issue identified by the community at the start of the project.

Tuesday’s open house will explore gaps in the housing market and how they can be addressed with new housing types and local government programs. It takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sehome High School.
