BRIEF: Ferndale man killed in Mount Baker Hwy crash

WELCOME, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A crash on the Mount Baker Highway claimed the life of a Ferndale man.

WSP says that the man was driving west near Bell Creek Rd Saturday morning.

His car crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.

The man, identified as 62-year-old Allen York, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver, a 27-year-old Maple Falls man, was injured and transported to Peacehealth St Joseph Medical Center.

WSP is continuing to investigate, but they say no drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
