BRIEF: Semi-truck full of potatoes rolls over, causes closure on the Guide

LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A rolled over semi-truck full of potatoes closed part of the Guide Meridian in Lynden Friday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. and shut down the southbound lane from Badger Road to Main Street.

WSDOT says first responders unloaded the potatoes to lighten the semi before three tow trucks were used to prop it back up.

The road was fully reopened around 11:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

WSDOT says it is not known how the rollover occurred.
