WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The window has been extended to apply for state assistance from December’s historic flooding.

The state Emergency Management Division says it’s extending the application deadline to April 27.

Households that were affected by the flooding could be eligible for up to $1,100 to cover urgent needs.

The state aid also extends to reimbursement of any lodging or rental costs from flood survivors who were displaced.

Applicants need to submit an assessment of unmet needs to determine what aid they’re eligible for.
