WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Diesel fuel prices have reached an all-time high in Whatcom County.

That’s according to AAA, which reports that the average price of a gallon of diesel currently sits at $6.43.

Meanwhile, prices for regular unleaded gas have remained somewhat stable.

They’ve only risen about four cents since last week after jumping over a dollar in the past month.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas is still about 25 cents off from the all-time high recorded by AAA at $5.53.

Statewide, Washington is the third-most expensive state in the country for gas only behind California and Hawaii.

It comes as US gas prices topped the $4 per gallon mark for the first time since 2022 amid the war in Iran.
