WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you needed a sign to clear out your medicine cabinets, this is it.

The federal Drug Enforcement Agency will hold its biannual Drug Takeback Day this Saturday.

Law enforcement agencies around the country will offer people the opportunity to drop off any expired or unused medications, no questions asked.

In Whatcom County, the Sheriff’s Office will accept those meds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Fork and Birch Bay Libraries.

Swinomish and Burlington Police are also participating in Drug Takeback Day, with drop-off boxes available at their respective police stations.
