Evacuation orders partially lifted for Burlington residents

BURLINGTON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Evacuation orders for Burlington residents has been partially lifted.

According to local officials, residents who live or work west of the North to South railroad tracks in Burlington can return at their own risk and discretion.

The orders were issued earlier on Friday morning after the Gages Slough overtopped its banks.

Skagit River levels are receding, but the water isn’t expected to go below major flood levels until later tonight.
