FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The spooky season is fast approaching and that means it’s time to bust out the Halloween decor.

The City of Ferndale has announced the return of the Halloween home decorating contest called The City of Frightdale.

Participants will decorate their homes with spooky displays and residents can vote for their favorites. Participating homes must be within the Ferndale city limits and displays should be inclusive and family friendly.

The three highest scoring displays will win prizes and bragging rights.

Participants have until Oct. 20 to register, and voting opens on Oct. 24.

Residents can use a map of the homes to cruise around and pick the best of the best.

For all the details and to register, go to the City of Ferndale’s website.
