‘Fire and Story’ event returns to Bellingham waterfront in 2026

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A popular winter festival is coming back to Bellingham’s waterfront with plans to be bigger and better.

Local art nonprofit Paper Whale announced on Wednesday, Oct. 22 that Fire and Story will be taking place the weekend of Jan. 22, 2026 in the same location next to the pump track.

Paper Whale plans to expand their night festival with more immersive art and fires as well as expanded food court and kids and family areas.

They will also offer a VIP ticketing option this year.

In its third year, Fire and Story takes place over three nights with various performances including indigenous storytelling, music, performance art, fire dancing, metalsmithing and saunas.

Early bird tickets are on sale on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at paper-whale.com.
