WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Drivers on Whatcom County’s busiest road will see some delays next week.

The City of Bellingham says it’s closing the right northbound lane of the Guide between Bakerview and Kellogg roads from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, and Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Crews will be working on sidewalk and roadway repairs.

The work is part of the city’s sewer main improvement project on Meridian to replace aging infrastructure and reduce the chance of overflows.

Crews could also repave those impacted areas of the road in March depending on the weather.

It comes ahead of WSDOT’s bigger project to resurface the Guide between I-5 and Kellogg Road, with construction expected to begin in spring 2027.
