Hawai’i man killed following incident on I-5 near Alger

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Hawai’i man was killed following an incident on I-5.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that a tour bus was travelling north near Alger on Sunday afternoon when the 34-year-old man opened the door and jumped out. He was struck by the bus and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers closed off the right lane of I-5 through the area for several hours.

WSP says that the incident remains under investigation.
