Seahawks News

The Seahawks are flying high after picking up a much-needed win last night.

They put on a defensive clinic in their 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Kenneth Walker III was held to just 36 rushing yards in his return to Seattle, which was well short of his 133-yard average entering the game.

The Seahawks’ Emmanuel Wilson ran for 100 yards and a touchdown, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his stellar season with 9 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Seattle’s defense didn’t allow a single red zone drive, which has never happened to KC with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

The Seahawks improved to 4-3, while handing the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Next up, they’ll host the Chicago Bears a week from today on Monday Night Football.

Huskies/Cougs News

The Cougs’ woes continued over the weekend.

They fell to No. 20 Boise State 31-10 in Pullman. Wazzu tied the game entering the 4th quarter, but the Broncos exploded for three touchdowns to run away with the win.

It was the Coug’s fifth loss in the row as they now take the road to play San Diego State on Saturday for Halloween.

The Huskies had the week off ahead of their own Halloween matchup at Nebraska.

Prep Football News

Speaking of the Cougs, their potential quarterback of the future made state history on Friday.

Anacortes senior Ryan Harrington threw for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 68-20 win over Sehome. That set a state record for passing yards in a single game and tied the record for passing touchdowns.

The Kraken will be missing a key player for the next few months.

The team announced that veteran winger Jared McCann will miss 10 weeks with a lower-body injury after placing him on the injured reserve yesterday.
