UPDATE: Level 3 evacuation lifted after vehicle hits propane tank south of Sedro-Woolley

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Skagit County has lifted a Level 3 evacuation notice for residents south of Sedro-Woolley.

The county issued the evacuation notice around 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, after a vehicle hit a propane tank near 11200 Morford Rd in Clear Lake. It was lifted roughly an hour later, around 3:10 p.m.

The county now says residents are safe to return to the area.

People are asked to use caution around emergency responders and equipment that may be in the area as crews complete their work.

The county thanked fire, law enforcement, emergency response and support partners for their quick and coordinated response.
