BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Flooding is once again impacting our area, but there are still some fun activities planned here in Whatcom County this weekend. We have fun runs, bike parades, miniature animals and great live music for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

The 2025 Jingle Bell Run is on Saturday, Dec. 13 in Bellingham. Funds raised at this festive race benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Dress up in holiday attire and do a 5K Run-Walk, a 5K Walk-Dog Trot, a 1 Mile Walk or a Kids Fun Run.

The Jingle Bell run kicks off at Options High School (2015 Franklin St) at 8 a.m. To register, go to the Jingle Bell Run’s website.

If you prefer your fun on two wheels, the Bellingham Lighted Bike Parade is Saturday from 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participants should deck out their bikes, wear festive costumes and meet at Depot Market Square for an out-and-back ride on the South Bay Trail. There will be free hot chocolate and cookies for sale when you finish.

Here’s something fun and different to do in Whatcom County this holiday season.

Blossom Farm (379 W. Wiser Lake Rd.) is hosting the Magical Carousel Minis Lights and Animals of Christmas. There will be over 100 animals, 20,000 lights, nutcrackers, inflatables, villages and wooden stars. You don’t have to worry about the weather because it all takes place indoors.

Blossom Farm is a county gem that houses interesting animals like miniature horses and ponies, zebus, sheep, goats, tortoises and a whole lot more. Lights and Animals of Christmas runs from noon to 4 p.m. every Friday through Sunday in December. Admission is $5.

We have two featured live shows for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

First up, Minneapolis based songwriter Mason Jennings is performing at the Wild Buffalo on Saturday. Fans of Mac Demarco, Wilco and Flaming Lips will love this one.

The show starts at 7 p.m. For tickets, go to wildbuffalo.net.

Next up, Structures Brewing is hosting their 10th anniversary party at Shakedown on Saturday. Holy Death Temple, Dryland and Yellow will perform for the occasion. It will be a night of goth punk, rock and heavy metal fury.

The show starts at 9 p.m. For tickets, go to shakedownbellingham.com.
