WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Local agencies are asking for help finding a missing US citizen last seen just across the border.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) say that 41-year-old Justin Fisher of Kansas was last seen in White Rock in October 2023.

An investigation into his disappearance began after a backpack containing his property was found roughly 300 feet from the shoreline.

Fisher’s family told police that they had last heard from him about a week before the backpack was recovered.

Investigators don’t believe that he is missing as the result of a crime or criminal activity.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is among nearby law enforcement agencies that have joined RCMP’s search for Fisher.

He’s described as a 6-foot-tall white male with gray balding hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have seen him over the past two years is asked to contact White Rock RCMP.
