LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Lynden is temporarily bringing in a new leader of its fire department.

Lynden City Administrator John Williams says they’ve appointed Bryan Brice as interim fire chief.

He takes the place of current Fire Chief Mike Noonan, who is on long-term medical leave.

Brice served as fire chief in Mount Vernon for over eight years before retiring in April 2025.

According to Williams, Brice’s contract will last four months with the possibility of being extended if Noonan’s leave lasts longer or the city ultimately needs to start a recruitment process.
