Cole Young’s broken bat single in the bottom of the 10th knocked in the winning run in a 3-2 win over the Mets at T-Mobile Park Monday night. It was the Mariners’ seventh straight win.

The Seattle Times’ Tim Booth reports reliever Gabe Speier set the stage by pitching a perfect top half of the 1oth against the heart of New York’s order.

In the bottom of the 10th, Randy Arozarena made it to base and stole 3rd before Young came to the plate and dropped his broken bat single into left, allowing Arozarena to trot home for the winning run.

Colt Emerson and Josh Naylor both homered in the win.
