SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash in Skagit County.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) reports that a pickup truck and the motorcycle were travelling in opposite directions on Highway 20 in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 3.

The driver of the truck made a turn in front of the motorcycle, causing the rider to crash. Medics transported the 46-year-old motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center.

Four passengers inside the pickup truck weren’t hurt.

No information about the driver was released, and it’s unclear if they remained at the scene when troopers arrived.

WSP believes that drugs and alcohol were a factor in the crash.
