Seattle lost to the San Francisco 49ers 17-13 in their divisional battle at Lumen Field.
Sam Darnold led a promising drive to end the game in his Seahawks debut, but Nick Bosa stripped him deep in Niners’ territory to wrap up the game for San Fran.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba led Seattle’s offense with nine catches for 124 yards and the Seahawks’ defense came up with a pair of interceptions, but it wasn’t enough to pull out the win.
Next up, the Seahawks are traveling to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Sunday in their first game against DK Metcalf since trading him earlier this year.

The Huskies’ success at home continued over the weekend.
UW thumped UC Davis 70-10 on Saturday night to win their 22nd straight game at home.
Jonah Coleman ran for a career-high five touchdowns to help the Huskies improve to 2-0.
Meanwhile, the Cougs beat San Diego State 36-13 at home to improve to 2-0 as well.
Jaxon Potter threw three touchdown passes and Wazzu’s run game came back to life.
They rushed for 139 yards against the Aztecs after gaining just three total yards on the ground against Idaho in their season-opener.
Mariners News
The Mariners got a pair of much-needed wins in dominant fashion over the weekend.
They beat the Atlanta Braves by 10-2 on Saturday and 18-2 yesterday.
Cal Raleigh hit his major league-leading 53rd home run and the Mariners scored their most runs since 2012 in yesterday’s win.
The M’s hit 10 home runs over the two games, including three from Eugenio Suarez.
It helped snap their four-game skid as they now head back to Seattle for the start of a seven-game homestand.
Bryan Woo is on the mound for tonight’s series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Storm dropped their chance to clinch a playoff spot on Friday.
They fell to the New York Liberty 84-76 to drop into the No. 8 seed in the WNBA standings.
Seattle now sits just two games over the Los Angeles Sparks for the final playoff spot in the league.
It’s do or die for the Storm as they play their regular season finale at home tomorrow night against the Golden State Valkyries.

They beat 3rd nationally ranked St. Cloud State and 4th nationally ranked San Francisco State in the WWU Invitational.
Senior outside hitter Devyn Oestreich was honored for her stellar play, netting GNAC Player of the Week while also earning Tournament MVP.
