The Seahawks are gearing up for what has a chance to be a historic matchup on Sunday. They’re hosting the Indianapolis Colts with a chance to win their fourth straight.
The Colts still haven’t announced who their starting quarterback is, days after signing Philip Rivers to their practice squad. The 44-year-old Rivers hasn’t played since retiring after the 2020 season.
The struggling Colts need a boost after dropping their last three games and losing their starter Daniel Jones to a season-ending injury. They’re currently tied for the last playoff spot in the AFC.
Seattle will look to put a damper on the Colts’ playoff hopes while maintaining their tie for first place in the NFC.

UW Huskies News
The Huskies are wrapping up their season this weekend. They’re facing Boise State in the Bucked Up LA Bowl tomorrow.
UW has seen vast improvement in its second year in the Big Ten conference, finishing the regular season with an 8-4 record, with two of their losses coming to top-five ranked opponents. They’ll look to round it out with a win against a Broncos team that’s riding a three-game win streak.

WSU Cougs News
The Cougs may have found their next head coach.
ESPN reports that Washington State has targeted Missouri offensive coordinator Kirby Moore, with a deal expected to be finalized at some point today. Moore played at Boise State with his brother Kellen, who’s now head coach of the New Orleans Saints.
If hired, he’d be the program’s fifth head coach since 2019. It comes after Jimmy Rogers left Wazzu for a head coaching job with Iowa State.
College Football News
We’re seeing new developments in the case that has rocked the college football world.
Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was arraigned earlier today. He’s charged with home invasion, stalking in a domestic relationship, and breaking and entering.
Prosecutors claim a female staffer ended her relationship with Moore, who is married, on Monday before telling the school. That caused the school to fire Moore, which prosecutors say caused him to barge into the woman’s apartment and make a series of threatening and intimidating statements.
Moore is being held on $25,000 bond and his next court hearing is set for Jan. 22.
Kraken News
The Kraken are back tonight, days after snapping their worst skid of the season. The team’s in Utah for their first match against the newly-named Mammoths.
Seattle had lost six games in a row before Vince Dunn’s overtime goal lifted them over the LA Kings on Wednesday. They’ll look to keep it up against a Mammoths squad that has dropped three straight games and seven of their last nine.

A beloved Sounder has landed a deal to stay in Seattle.
The Athletic reports that the club has reached an agreement that will keep goalkeeper Stefan Frei under contract through 2027. His current deal expires this month and is currently listed as a free agent.
Frei has previously said that his goal is to play until he’s 40, which he’ll turn next April.

Taking a look at high school basketball scores from last night…
The Lynden girls extended the 5th-longest winning streak in the country with a 67-20 win over Squalicum.
The Lynden boys followed with a 63-33 win over the Storm.

The Bellingham girls are hosting Mount Baker before the Baker boys host the Bayhawks.
Tonight’s Ferndale girls game against Stanwood has been called off.
After that, high school basketball is back on the radio tomorrow night.
Our first broadcast of the season will take place at Lynden Christian for a Lyncs doubleheader.
First up, the LC girls host Archbishop Murphy in a rematch of last year’s game where the Lyncs squeaked by with a 4-point win.
Coverage begins at 5:15 and tipoff is at 5:30 on KGMI with Dan Kaemingk and Randy Farmer on the call.
After that, the LC boys host the defending 1B state champion Lummi Nation boys in one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the season in Whatcom County.
Coverage will begin after the girls game is over and the boys will tip it off at 7:15, again on KGMI.
