The longest-tenured coach in the NFL is out of a job.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced today that Mike Tomlin is stepping down after 19 years as head coach. He didn’t have a single losing season during the nearly two-decade-long run.

The announcement comes after the Steelers fell to the Houston Texans 30-6 last night in the wild card round.

The 53-year-old Tomlin leaves Pittsburgh tied for the 10th most wins by a head coach in NFL history. The Steelers will now begin the search for just their fourth head coach since 1969.

Seahawks News

The start time has been announced for the Seahawks’ first game of the playoffs.

Seattle will kick off against its rival San Francisco 49ers at 5:00 on Saturday at Lumen Field. Their divisional round game will serve as a rubber match after they split their two regular season games.

The Seahawks’ coaching staff has been busy over the bye week, with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak interviewing with three teams for their vacant head coaching positions and defensive coordinator Aden Durde interviewing with two.

Kraken News

The Kraken rallied to get a big win in the Big Apple last night.

Rookie Berkly Catton scored a tie-breaking goal in the third period to help lift Seattle over the New York Rangers 4-2.

The Rangers had a 2-0 lead after the first period, but Eeli Tolvanen and Jordan Eberle each scored in the second to even things up. Catton went on to score the winning goal midway through the third period and Jared McCann added an insurance score to secure the win.

The Kraken have now won 9 of their last 12 matches heading into tomorrow’s game against the New Jersey Devils.
