Omak man killed in rollover crash near Lynden

LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man was killed after being ejected from his car in a crash near Lynden.

The Washington State Patrol says that the driver, identified as 32-year-old Cory Lockwood of Omak, was driving south on the Guide early on Sunday, June 16.

He approached the roundabout at Wiser Lake Road at a high rate of speed, sending his car off the road.

Lockwood was ejected as his car hit a tree and rolled down an embankment.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

WSP notes that Lockwood was not wearing his seatbelt and has not disclosed if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
