NUGENT’S CORNER, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Commuters near Everson will likely see delays as a paving project wraps up on Highway 9.

WSDOT says that their crews are finishing paving work near Nugent’s Corner until 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31.

Additional paving is scheduled for Tuesday on Highway 9 near the BNSF rail crossing at George Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All paving operations require dry weather, which means Wednesday and Thursday’s scheduled paving work will likely be postponed.

But if the rain holds off, crews will repave Highway 9 near the rail crossing at Garrison Road between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.

Drivers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time and slow down for road crews.
