BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A pair of local community leaders has given Whatcom County’s largest medical provider a significant donation.

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center says that they’re the recipients of a $10 million gift from Alpha Technologies co-founders Fred Kaiser and Grace Borsari.

The funds will go towards current projects, like the Peter Paulsen Pavilion, and future needs for the medical center.

Those will include an updated emergency department and a rooftop helipad, as well as continued support for childbirth and pediatric services.

This isn’t Kaiser and Borsari’s first foray into giving back to their community.

My Bellingham Now previously reported on the pair’s $10 million donation towards WWU’s newest building for electrical engineering and computer science.

The aptly named Kaiser-Borsari building opened for students last year.
