BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An estimated 200 racers enjoyed perfect racing conditions at the annual Padden Triathlon in Bellingham.

Bellingham Parks and Recreation hosts the event every June, giving athletes the opportunity to complete the race solo or in a relay at Lake Padden.

Racers competing in the Long Course race completed a .5-mile swim, a 21-mile bike ride and a 5.2-mile run. Less competitive racers completed a Short Course consisting of a .25-mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 2.6-mile run.
