BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Bellingham’s downtown waterfront is gearing up for the warmer weather.

The Portal Container Village announced that it is opening on May 3.

It will feature six local businesses, including two new additions from Zeek’s Pizza and Bin 13 Wine Bar. There are also five food trucks that will be open at least four days a week this year.

A pair of rotating retail shops will be operating out of metal shipping containers in the village, and the Portal Putt mini-golf course – which opens on May 25 – is expanding from 9 holes to a full 18-hole course.

The additions to this year’s village come as the Port of Bellingham recently announced plans for further expansion in 2025. A new Pike Place-style market is also in the works for Bellingham’s waterfront.
