WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Wet weekend weather has led to a handful of road closures around Whatcom County.

Public Works says that the floodgates have closed on Ferndale Road and Marine Drive as of Monday night due to water over the roadways.

Some side roads, including parts of Bayon, Lampman, and Dewey Roads are also closed.

The Nooksack River is currently just above action levels, but it isn’t expected to rise any further.

Public Works says they’ll reopen all closed roads once it’s safe to do so.
