BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A prolific burglar is back behind bars after attempting to rob a downtown Bellingham business.

Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says that the suspect smashed a glass door of Leaf & Ladle on N. State Street around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

An employee was able to tackle the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Gregory Keefe, and was able to subdue him until police arrived.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that Keefe was arrested in connection to dozens of burglaries throughout Bellingham in October 2024.

Court documents show that he was released on $500 cash bond later that month.
