BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The weather in Whatcom County is cooling down ever so slightly. It will be perfect this weekend to get out and enjoy some fun activities. We have it all for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

Fans of standup comedy are in luck. Laughs at Larrabee welcomes Phil Burton to town for a night of pizza, drinks and hilarious comedy on Friday, Aug. 28. Ben Menard, Moses Marlin and Jes Anderson will also perform along with host Nikki Kilpatric.

Larrabee Lager is located in the Cordata neighborhood (4151 Guide Meridian Rd #100). The show is 18+.

If you want to do something fun and raise money for a great cause on Saturday, Aug. 29, head down to Squalicum Creek Park in Bellingham. The 4th annual Bellingham Wiffleball Tournament is set to take place at 9 a.m. rain or shine.

Teams of four will be guaranteed at least four games and will compete in four divisions; elementary 5+, middle school, high school and adult. Registration is $12.50 per player, and proceeds go to benefit Blue Skies for Children.

Register for the Wiffleball Tournament here.

Gearheads should plan on heading to Bellewood Farms (6140 Guide Meridian) on Saturday for the 46th annual Summer Fun Rod Run. It’s a one day show this year with a $20 entry fee. Gates open at 8 a.m. and registrations starts at 9 a.m.

Attendees can check out the hot rods, enjoy breakfast, lunch, drinks and more. For all the details, go to fourthcornerlitescarclub.com.

If you have a green thumb, or just love flowers, the Bellingham Dahlia Festival is this Sunday, Aug. 30. It’s a celebration of the thousands of blooming dahlias at Bellingham Flower Farm (5709 Putnam Rd, Everson).

Attendees should wear comfortable shoes for walking, bring a camera for photos, get there early for U-pick, and leave the pets at home.

Our featured live show this week is a free all-ages event at Blue Room on Saturday.

Love They Neighbor Block Party will set up at the corner of Railroad Ave and Holly St. with three live bands, a beer garden, flash tattoos, vendors and more.

Have You Seen This Woman? will headline with support from Checker Bloom and Deadspin. The show starts at 1 p.m.
