Suspect arrested after suspected DUI chase ends in Blaine

BLAINE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A person is in custody following a suspected DUI crash in Blaine.

Police in Blaine say that their officers were asked to help Bellingham Police stop the suspect driver, who was caught speeding northbound on I-5 Monday night. The driver ended up smashing into a guardrail at about 110 mph near the Peace Arch border crossing.

Medical crews took the person into custody and transported them to Peacehealth St Joseph Medical Center for treatment.
