The Mariners are looking to rebound after falling in yesterday’s series opener in Minnesota.

The M’s only managed three hits in the 3-1 loss to the Twins.

Luis Castillo gave up three runs through six and two-thirds innings to snap his three-game win streak.

Jorge Polanco hit a single to extend his hit streak to eight straight games in his return to Target Field after getting dealt by Minnesota over the offseason.

Twins starter Simeon Woods Richardson gave up just one hit over six shutout innings to earn the win.

It was a bounce-back game for the Twins, who had their 12-game win streak snapped by Boston on Sunday.

The M’s will look to even the series up tonight with Emerson Hancock on the mound.

Coverage begins at 3:30 and first pitch is at 4:40 on KPUG.

The Seahawks are freeing up a bit more salary cap room to sign their new rookies.

Cornerback Michael Jackson and the Seahawks agreed to a new contract yesterday that will save Seattle nearly $2 million in cap space.

The Seahawks now have roughly $1.5 million in cap room for 2024.

The team still needs to free up more space in order to sign its seven remaining draft picks.

They signed 16th-overall pick Byron Murphy II to a four-year, $16 million deal over the weekend.

Western Washington University’s rowing team had a strong showing in their final race of the regular season.

The No. 1 nationally ranked Vikings took first place in the Open 8+ event at Saturday’s Opening Day Regatta on Montlake Cut.

They beat out crews from the University of Washington, Gonzaga and GNAC rival Seattle Pacific.

The Vikings have this weekend off to get ready for the GNAC Championships on May 18 with the conference title on the line.
