SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Tulip season isn’t wrapping up just yet in the Skagit Valley.

Two of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival’s major gardens just announced that they’re welcoming visitors for an extra weekend.

RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town will each stay open through next Sunday, May 3.

The festival usually ends on the final day of April, which falls on this Thursday.

But Tulip Town owner Rachael Sparwasser says they can’t close their gates “when the color is this good.”

The farm is also offering discounted tickets from May 1st through 3rd for its new closing weekend.

It extends an already longer than usual season that saw some farms open as early as March 21 amid an early bloom.
