Warm, sunny weather predicted for 4th of July weekend

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – It may have been rainy outside on Thursday, July 2, but the weather should clear up in time for the holiday weekend.

The National Weather Service said it expects warmer and drier conditions to return Friday and continue through the middle of next week.

Saturday’s high on Independence Day is currently sitting at 69 degrees in Bellingham with mostly sunny skies.

Forecasters warn there could be some strong winds though, with a good chance of gusts exceeding 20 mph.

Temperatures are expected to hit the 70’s throughout Whatcom County on Sunday and stick there through the rest of next week.
