Whatcom County opens application window for advisory committee members


WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County is opening the application window for advisory committee members.

There are numerous vacancies on the council’s 20 advisory committees, with many positions being 4-year appointed terms.

All applicants must be a resident within the county and meet the requirements for each committee.

Advisory boards provide insight to the council and County Executive on specific issues such as flood control, business and commerce, resources and social services among others.

Applications are due by 10 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2026.
