BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County residents will soon have another chance to learn more about the new jail.

The county is holding a third community engagement workshop on Wednesday, July 22. The meeting runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Squalicum Boathouse.

Attendees can learn more about the proposed jail size, facility features, the behavioral health center and other aspects of the wide-ranging Justice Project.

The community can also share their feedback with election officials and decision-makers.

It comes as the county expects to make a final decision on the size and scope of the jail by mid-August.
