Woman arrested after stabbing at Bellingham home

BELLIGNHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Bellingham woman is in custody following a stabbing at a home.

Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says that officers were called to a home off of Lakeway Dr Saturday afternoon while the assault was in progress.

They learned that the suspect, a 43-year-old woman, was threatening to kill two people and had already cut one of them with a knife.

Officers took the suspect into custody while crews transported the injured victim to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center.

The suspect was booked into the Whatcom County Jail without bail. Her arraignment is set for Thursday.
