Woman spends three days trapped in crashed vehicle off Chuckanut Drive

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A woman spent three days trapped in her car after she drove off Chuckanut Drive in Skagit County.

Washington State Patrol reports that the woman called 911 at 8:38 a.m. Saturday and said she had accidently driven off Highway 11.

Troopers located the vehicle at Mile Post 11 using GPS and found it about 40 feet down an embankment with the woman inside.

She told them the crash had occurred last Wednesday, and she was stuck in the car for three days. She said she had regained consciousness on Saturday morning and called for help.

Firefighters rescued her from the vehicle and took her to Skagit Valley Hospital.

Her identity and condition have not been released.
